Al Bano to perform at charity concert for Zagreb children’s hospital

ZAGREB, 5 Aug (Hina) – A big charity concert for the oncology department of the Children’s Hospital Zagreb will take place on 15 September in Zagreb’s Lauba art gallery.

The concert will feature a performance by Italian singer Al Bano and guests Ana Rucner, the Rucner String Quartet and Marko Duvnjak.

Al Bano, born as Albano Antonio Carrisi, is an Italian tenor and actor with a career spanning seven decades, during which he sold over 25 million records globally.

His four and a half octave vocal range and his association with Romina Power, daughter of Hollywood actor Tyrone Power, brought him world fame.

Al Bano is known for his operatic style of singing in pop, rock and Italo disco genres. His hits include the songs “Felicità”, “Ci sarà”, “Nostalgia Canaglia”, “E’ la mia vita”,”Angeli”  and “Sharazan”.
