After behind closed doors voting from 500 representatives of the Croatian gastro scene, the winners of the best restaurant and chef in Croatia for 2015 were announced at a reception at Zagreb’s Hilton hotel this week…
This year’s winner for ‘Best Restaurant in Croatia for 2015’ at the Dobri restorani awards went to Pelegrini in the Dalmatian town of Šibenik.
“For years now Pelegrini have been at the very top of Croatia’s, and Europe’s, gastro offerings and it is no surprise that they were named the absolute winners this year, ” said the organisers.

Second place went to Čakovec restaurant Mala Hiža, whilst Zagreb favourite Dubravkin put was in third place.
The title of ‘Best Chef in Croatia for 2015’ went to Monte Mulini chef Tomislav Gretić. Gretić was recently invited to be a guest chef for a week at famous Austrian restaurant Hangar – 7.

The Dobri restorani awards, now in their fourth year, are organised by leading Croatian daily newspaper Jutarnji list.
