ZAGREB, 8 November 2020 – Hoffenheim striker Andrej Kramarić has been ruled out of Croatia’s November matches, the Croatian Football Federation has confirmed.
Kramarić has not trained for some time due to testing positive for coronavirus after Croatia’s October fixtures, but he has also been suffering from an adductor injury so, in agreement with coach Zlatko Dalić and the Hoffenheim, it was decided that he would miss upcoming matches against Turkey, Sweden, and Portugal in November.
“I haven’t trained for two weeks because of the coronavirus, and I still have problems with the adductor injury I’ve been suffering from since meeting up with the national team in October. Because of all that, I would not be able to help the team in the upcoming matches,” said Kramarić
Earlier in the week, Dalić called up five players to the squad who were on stand by. Lovre Kalinić, Marin Pongračić, Josip Juranović, Antonio-Mirko Čolak, and Toma Bašić will join the Croatia squad which gathers on Monday.
Croatia will travel to Istanbul to take on Turkey in a friendly on Wednesday, 11 November before facing Sweden away on 14 November and Portugal at Poljud stadium in Split on 17 November.
