Tourists keen to explore Croatia’s archaeology can now do so thanks to a new tour operator on the scene…
Tour operator Timetrekkers, who specialise in archaeological trips around Croatia and the Adriatic, have launched their 2014 tour entitled “In Search of Archaeological Treasures”.
“The trip will start in Zagreb and end in Dubrovnik from the September 7th to 18th and will take in three UNESCO World Heritage sites, Croatia’s breathtakingly beautiful scenery and the Roman provincial city of Salona Stari Grad Plain – the oldest preserved ancient Greek landscape in the world, along the way,” say the operators.
Timetrekkers, which has a team of Croatian experts, will take visitors to explore the countries forgotten prehistoric graveyards, Roman palaces and temples, ancient cities, and hidden medieval ruins amongst other things.
