A Serbian, who is currently in Australia and wanted over war crimes in Croatia, has failed to convince Australian authorities that he should be allowed to remain there and is to be extradited to Croatia.
Dragan Vasiljkovic, who is also known as Daniel Snedden or his nickname Captain Dragan, is accused of torturing, raping and murdering civilians and prisoners of war while he was a Serbian paramilitary commander during the Balkan conflict.
Vasiljkovic has been in an Australian jail for over five years and it will be the first time Australia has ever extradited a war criminal in its history.
