“Thank you Dinamo for everything, my first club and biggest love! Now it is time for Barcelona,” wrote a happy Alen Halilović on social media after a deal was brokered which will see the midfielder join Barcelona in the summer for a reported 10 million euros plus bonuses…
Barcelona and Dinamo Zagreb officials spent most of Thursday behind closed doors at Hotel Shereton in the Croatian capital, as Halilović’s transfer to the Spanish giants was negotiated. Media reports suggest that Barcelona will pay 10 million euros (plus a 5 million euro bonus when Alen breaks into the first team) for the 17-year-old, who became the youngest ever Croatian national team debutant last year. Halilović, who reportedly will go in the summer on a 3-year deal, will initially ply his trade with the Barcelona ‘B’ side, reports 24sata.
Halilović will become the third Croatian to be based at the famous Nou Camp stadium after Goran Vučević and Robert Prosinečki both had stints there.
