Big Bear Plitvice Resort, which is to be built in Vrhovine in Lika, will have a capacity for 100 accommodation units of which will be 32 mobile homes and 60 camping sites. It will also have an ethno shop, a souvenir shop and a top ethno restaurant with traditional food and products from Lika for up to 150 people.
The mobile homes will be equipped with modern amenities and are decked out almost as an apartment.
Located near the famous Plitvice Lakes and other natural and historical attractions in the area, the resort will be an exciting addition to the tourist offer in the region.
The man behind the project is local Zvonimir Petričević and he expects the resort to be open in April 2019. The resort is already employing local people who are delighted that they can work in luxury tourism in Like and not on the coast or abroad.
The resort will preserve and promote Lika traditions through a top quality tourist offer in a segment which is becoming more and more popular around the world.
This will be the first camp of its kind in the Lika-Senj County and is made possible with the support of the Croatian Agency for SMEs, Innovations and Investments and the Republic of Croatia.
