An earthquake which hit Slovenia measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale on Tuesday, has been felt in some parts of Croatia, reports daily Jutarnji list..
The strong quake hit at around 11:00 am on Tuesday in the Pivka area near Ilirska Bistrica in the south-west of the country and just 40 kilometres from the Croatian town of Opatija. The quake was felt in most parts of Slovenia, and also in neighbouring Croatia in the cities of Zagreb, Pula, Rijeka and Poreč. It is unclear at this stage how much damage the quake caused.
