Big international pršut fair in Tinjan in October

TINJAN, 27 September 2019 – Everything is set for the biggest gastro event in Istria – the International Pršut Fair – which will take place again in Tinjan from 18 – 20 October.
This will be the 13th year in a row that the event gastronomic event dedicated to one of the most famous delicacies in the world is being held in Tinjan.
Besides pršut producers from Croatia, the Fair will host producers from Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Spain, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro. Lovers of this exquisite delicacy will have the opportunity to taste more than thirty types of pršut. Each of the pršuts presented by these excellent masters, given its geographical origin, has its own specificity and unique notes of smell and taste. In short, all manufacturers will exhibit the best and highest quality from their production.
An expert jury will will be judging the pršuts to find the champion of the Fair, which each year attracts more than 25,000 people.
In addition to exhibiting top-class pršut, which can be tasted at every turn, there are numerous educationals, expert lectures, guided tastings and culinary presentations where connoisseurs will show how to prepare dishes with pršut. At the same time, there are a large number of local producers who will offer various indigenous products at their stands, such as fruits, vegetables, wine, olive oil and souvenirs.
On the first night, visitors will have the chance to sing and dance along to the sounds of the Night express band and singer Zeljko Joksimovic, the next day Jelena Rozga and the young and talented Luka Basi will entertain the crowd, and on the last day of the Fair, on Sunday, Gustafi will play.
