Big Success for Croatian Innovators in Germany

It has been a successful weekend for Croatian innovators. At the 65th International IENA Trade Fair (Ideas Inventions and New Products) held in Nuremberg, the Croatian contingent have picked up 12 awards out of the strong field of 750 innovators from 32 countries.
Organised by the Croatian Association of Innovators and with the support of the Croatian Community of Technical Culture, Croatian Chamber of Commerce – Center for entrepreneurship, innovation and technological development, and the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Croatian innovators presented 15 innovations to more than 50,000 visitors over the last four days at one of the oldest Innovation fairs in the world.
Gold at the Nuremberg Fair was won by Croatian companies Tehnix Ltd, with its innovative Bio-reactive wastewater treatment plants, and Bernarda Ltd, with its THERMOCAR – innovative mattress. Silver went to PIP Ltd for its innovative Propocijan capsules, and Altpro Ltd for its extraction system of medicinal plants.
Special awards were also won by Vladimir Tudić for his innovative air ventilation recuperator for sterilizing and air purification, Marinko Spudić’s generator for gas production from water invention, Miljenko Vuk’s thermo bag innovation, Varroa Aleksandra Zalepugin from Pure Zone Ltd with its system for the protection of bees and Šestan-Busch’s modular helmets.
Outshining their counterparts from Germany, China, Taiwan, Korea, Malaysia and other nations around the world, there was success also for young innovators Ivan Kožar, Filip Beleta, Mišo Grgić, Filip Kuftinec, Jakov Šandrovčan and Naim Canolli from Zagreb Technical College School who picked up three golds, one silver and two bronze plaques. Besides the awards, Croatian Zoran Barisic, who is the Assistant Director of the Industry at CCE, was on the international judging jury.
