Vedran Ćorluka looks set for a return to the English Premier League, according to sources in the UK…
The former Manchester City and Tottenham defender is rumoured to be on his way to West Ham United, where he will join up with his former coach Slaven Bilić.
It is no secret that Bilić, who was appointed West Ham United manager last week, is a big fan of Ćorluka. Bilić coached the central defender in the Croatia U-21 side, and handed him his full international debut as a 20-year-old against Italy in 2006. Ćorluka also teamed up with Bilić in 2012 at Lokomotiv Moscow, where he is currently playing.
Ćorluka’s contract with Lokomotiv runs out in June 2018, but the Russians could be prepared to sell him for up to 12 million euros.
Ćorluka was signed by Manchester City in the summer of 2007, and in 2008 he signed for Tottenham Hotspur for a fee of £5.5 million on a six-year contract. He spent 4 years in London before heading off to Russia.
