Billion Kuna for Croatian Tourism

The Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development (HBOR) has approved more than a billion kuna (134 million euros) credit for the tourism sector in Croatia, an increase of more than 80 percent compared to last year, reports Croatian radiotelevision.

The extra funds will allow the Ministry of Tourism and the Croatian government to invest in projects that will make Croatia more attractive and competitive on the world tourism market.

Croatia’s Minister of tourism Veljko Ostojic, says heavy investment is planned for the tourism sector next year. “Next year we expect to invest between 2.5 and 3 billion kuna (330-400 million euros), which is almost double than was invested this year,” said Ostojic.
