According to a Numbea research survey, the world’s largest price survey portal, Croatia is the 6th most expensive country in the world when it comes to bills.
Basic overheads, which include electricity, heating, water and waste collection are higher in Split and Zagreb than in London, where wages are three times higher than in Croatia. Household bills in Norway, Slovenia and Luxembourg were all higher than in Croatia, whilst bills in countries with a far higher standard than Croatia, such as Germany and Austria, were cheaper.
The Numbea survey followed prices in 118 countries and 355 cities.
