Bookies make Croatia 9th favourites to win Euro 2020

After yesterday’s draw was made in Bucharest, the leading bookies in the UK have made Croatia 9th favourite to win Euro 2020.  

Croatia has been drawn in the same group as England, Czech Republic and one of Scotland, Norway Serbia or Israel, but the bookies, as they did in 2018 when they made Croatia 10th favourites ahead of the World Cup, don’t see them as likely title contenders. 

England, who will host the semi-finals and final at Wembley stadium, are the bookies favourites to win Euro 2020 at a price of around 5-1. 

World Cup winners France are second favourites at 7.5-1. Belgium, who won all their games in 2019 and are the No.1 ranked nation on the FIFA Rankings, are third favourites at a similar price to France. 

The bookies rate the Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Italy and Portugal as having more of a chance to lift the trophy next summer in London. Croatia is 9th favourite with a return of 26 pounds for every 1 put down

If Croatia manages to win their group then a Round of 16 match awaits against the runner-up in Group F, which features Germany, France and Portugal, on 30 June in Dublin. If Croatia finishes runner-up then it will a trip to Copenhagen to face the runner-up in Group E, which includes Spain, Sweden and Poland.
