When Christin Necker from Switzerland was looking for a new destination to shoot one his time-lapse videos, he decided to visit one of the most photogenic places in the world – Dubrovnik…
The keen time-lapse photographer, which is a technique whereby the frequency at which film frames are captured is much lower than that used to view the sequence, spent 8 days and 8 nights in the Dalmatian city shooting for his latest project.
“It was the first time for me in Dubrovnik. I shot for 8 days and 8 nights so it was easy to find a good day to night story. I was impressed about the ships and the contrast between the old and new town. Most sequences were taken from the mountain. The night scene in old town was difficult to capture,” Christin explains, adding that his biggest challenge was the hyper-lapse shot around the tower and the street.
Christin says he had a number of curious locals constantly asking what he was doing and jumping in the shots. Check out the end product, which is stunning.
