British rock group The Coral are the latest act confirmed to play at what is building up to be one of the best INmusic festivals…
The Coral join Skunk Anansie, Wilco, Florence + The Machine, PJ Harvey, The Kooks, Yeasayer, The Heavy, Pat Thomas and Kwashibu Area Band, Monoswezi at this summer’s INmusic festival. Now in its 11th year, INmusic will be held from 20-22 June at Zagreb’s Lake Jarun.
The Zagreb crowd will among the first to have a chance to hear The Coral perform live songs from their new album Distance which is set to be released in March.
The Coral, who formed in 1996 in Hoylake on the Wirral Peninsula in England, first emerged during the early 2000s and found success with their debut album The Coral in 2002 and follow-up Magic and Medicine in 2003. Their self-titled debut album was nominated for the 2002 Mercury Music Prize and later voted the fourth best album of the year by NME Magazine.
In 2008 guitarist Bill Ryder-Jones left the band, however The Coral have continued as a five-piece. Their sixth album Butterfly House was released in 2010 and Distance is to be released next month.
