British performer-poet, playwright and rapper Kate Tempest and Scottish singer Paolo Nutini have joined the ever-growing list of confirmed performers at this year’s INmusic festival in the Croatian capital…
Nutini, referred by the BBC as “arguably Scotland’s biggest musician right now”, had a debut album, These Streets (2006), which peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart. Its follow-up, Sunny Side Up (2009), debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart. Both albums have been certified quintuple platinum by the British Phonographic Industry.
Ted Hughes Award winner Tempest was described recently by the Huffington Post as “Britain’s leading young poet, playwright and rapper…one of the most widely respected performers in the country – the complete package of lyrics and delivery. She is also one of the most exciting young writers working in Britain today.”
Tempest and Nutini join English alternative rock band Placebo, Californian rockers Eagles of Death Metal, UK’s rising hopes, new electro soul duo We Are Shining, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Frank Turner as confirmed acts for this year’s festival.
INmusic festival, which was nominated recently for a European Festival Award, will be held from 22 – 24 June 2015 on the Island of Youth at Zagreb’s Lake Jarun, while the even bigger and better festival camp site will be located on two adjoining islands at lake Jarun – Tresnjevka Isle and the Univerzijada Isle. More acts will be named over the course of the next few months in the lead up to the jubilee festival.
