British Tourists Rescued on Vis

Two young British tourists, who last night got lost in mountainous terrain on the Dalmatian island of Vis, have been safely rescued by the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service (HGSS).

HGSS received a call at about 20:00 that the young British couple had got lost in dense bush above Stončica bay on the east side of the island, three nautical miles eastern from the port of Vis, and were disoriented and unable to continue their trek at night. After a 2-hour search HGSS located the pair on Kazela hill and transferred them to safety in Vis town.
