Organised by the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK), ‘Let’s buy Croatian’, featured domestic producers from four regions – central Croatia, Slavonia, Dalmatia, Istria and Kvarner – while large Croatian companies such as Podravka, Vindija, Dukat, Kras, Franck, Ledo, Zvijezda presented their products in a special area.
The event marked the 18th anniversary of ‘Let’s buy Croatian’, which has help raise awareness on the importance of both producing and purchasing local Croatian goods.
“By buying Croatian we save jobs and enable the creation of new jobs, we prevent the emigration of young people and protect Croatia’s economy. Buying Croatian should become a way of life for all of us and should continue 365 days in the year,” HGK President Luka Burilovic said.
Currently 105 products are labelled “Originally Croatian” and 166 are labelled ‘Croatian Quality’. The fair as visited by Zagreb’s Mayor and the President of Croatia.
