Croatia’s Prime Minister Zoran Milanović has orchestrated a big cabinet reshuffle on Wednesday, with two current Ministers forced to handover their portfolios…
Minister of Education and Sport Željko Jovanović, and Health Minister Rajko Ostojić have both been replaced on Wednesday. The new Minister of Health is now current Croatian Health Institute boss Siniša Varga, while former University dean Vedran Mornar has taken over the Sport and Education portfolio from Jovanović.
It brings the number of replaced Ministers to 3 in the last 3 weeks. Last month Minister of Finance Slavko Linić was sacked and replaced by Boris Lalovac. The shakeup is the result of a meeting the ruling SDP party held on Saturday, which voted to expel Linić from the party. Milanović now heads off to Brazil to watch Thursday’s match.
