A new pilgrim route is opening in Croatia, offering a special blend of spiritual, cultural, and natural beauty.
The Camino Zadar will officially open on Saturday, 5 April 2025, as part of the Zadar County Days celebrations.
The Camino Zadar route joins the growing network of Camino Croatia, connecting the country to the historic pilgrimage paths of Europe that lead to Santiago de Compostela.
The new route stretches 13 kilometres, passing through historic town centres, picturesque landscapes, and ancient pathways.

Pilgrims will have the opportunity to experience the footsteps of medieval travellers while enjoying the natural beauty of the Zadar region.
The journey starts in Kožino and continues through Prorokovići and Ninske Stanove, before reaching Nin, where a special pilgrim’s mass will be held at the Church of St. Anselm, led by military chaplain Fr. Ivo Topalović.

After the mass, participants will receive the Compostela certificate, marking their completed pilgrimage. A traditional pilgrim’s lunch, provided by the Hunting Association of Zadar County, will follow.
