Celebrating Slavonian culture, traditions & lifestyle at the 54th Vinkovci Autumn festival

26 August 2019 – A chance to celebrate all things Slavonian at the 54th Vinkovci Autumn Festival (Vinkovačke Jeseni) which will take place this year from 13-22 September 2019 in the eastern Croatian town of Vinkovci.
The annual Vinkovci Autumn festival, which is over 50 years old now, marks the start of autumn, a season that Slavonians reap a lot of rewards for their hard work during the year.
Vinkovci Autumn festival is a celebration of the Slavonian lifestyle, habits and culture and aims to give festival goers an insight into all things Slavonian – including food, dance, music, costume and dialects.
This year around 8,000 performers will take part in the festival over 10 days with over 100,000 visitors expected to attend. The theme of this year’s festival is ‘Three dear words to us’ referring to Slavonia, Srijem and Baranja.
There will be a host of various cultural performances, including from kids groups, fashion shows, concerts, recitals, a chance to sample some traditional Slavonian cuisine and lots more.
The Vinkovci Children’s Autumn Festival will take place on 14-15 September. For more details, you can check out the official website here.
