ZAGREB, 9 January 2021 – One of the most popular parks in Zagreb for winter fun has opened for season on Saturday.
Today, Mayor Milan Bandić and his associates symbolically opened the sledding park on Cmrok.
Cmrok should be as accessible as possible to the youngsters of Zagreb. Along with Sljeme, now parents or grandparents can come and bring the kids to enjoy sledding. Of course, in compliance with all epidemiological measures, said Mayor Bandić.
As pointed out by the manager of the Sljeme ski slopes Igor Žiljak, artificial snow has been prepared for the last four weeks with the help of a snow machine and a levelling machine, and the sledding course will be open for the next three months.
Cmrok is located in the northern part of Zagreb and is surrounded by Jurjevska Street and Tušetkanac Street. It can be reached by public transport – ZET bus lines 101, 102 and 105, and on foot by Dubravka road (on the south side) or through the park – Orlovac forest (on the east side).
