Rimac’s company, Rimac Automobili, which developed the electric supercar, have announced that the Concept One car will be used to carry out track inspections, passenger laps, and other duties during all Formula E championship races this season. The partnership will provide Rimac with a great stage to further promote his supercar.
Formula E is a class of auto racing, sanctioned by FIA and is intended to be the highest class of competition for one-make, single-seater, electrically-powered racing cars. The series was conceived in 2012, with the inaugural championship to be held in 2014/2015 in ten host cities – Beijing, Putrajaya, Punta del Este, Buenos Aires, Long Beach, Miami, Monte Carlo, Berlin and London.
Rimac’s battery-powered vehicle boasts more than 1,000 Hp and reaches a top speed of 190 Mph, going to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds. (pic: Rimac)
