Council Take Action Over Beach Spot Savers

As Šibenski portal reports, the local council have introduced a ban on the practice of leaving towels and loungers on the beach overnight to reserve a spot for the next day on the busy beaches. Until 1 September council patrols will comb the beaches after each night removing the offending property.

Those who leave towels, loungers and other equipment on the beaches will be able to collect their things from the council headquarters.

The practice of leaving towels and other things on the beaches have been common practice for a long time on Croatia’s busiest beaches. More and more areas have introduced signs banning it, but Tisno have taken it a step further.
