Situated on the hills of Velika glava, Bubrig and Crni vrh just outside of the coastal town of Šibenik and operated by operated by Austrian energy developer RP Global, Danilo wind farm is set to provide clean energy to around 22,000 households. The 43.7 megawatt (MW) wind farm, which will produce 100 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of electricity annually and increase Croatia’s production of wind energy by 20%, will also reduce carbon emissions by 33,000 tonnes annually RP Global told Reuters. RP Global plan to add another wind farm near Dubrovnik shortly.
