The 49-meter super yacht of a billionaire Russian oligarch who was found dead in his home in England last month has been purchased by an unnamed Croat, reports Dutch brokers De Valk.
Boris Berezovsky made his fortune in Russia in the 1990s when the country went through privatisation of state property and “robber capitalism”.He profited from gaining control over various assets, including the country’s main television channel, Channel One. In 1997 Forbes magazine estimated Berezovsky’s wealth at US$3 billion. He was 67 when he was found hanging in his home in March this year.
Thunder B was built by the Australian shipyard Oceanfast in 1998 and can accommodate up to 10 people in five small apartments on board. It has a swimming pool also on deck. The super yacht reportedly sold to the Croat for 5 million euros.
