Croatia Airlines is set to expand its Zagreb network by introducing five new routes.
The new routes are to Milan Malpensa, Prague, Bucharest, Madrid, and Hamburg. These additions primarily resume city connections that were served before the coronavirus pandemic.
With the launch of these new routes from Zagreb, the airline intends to operate an additional 27 to 33 departures weekly from Croatia between April and October, adding between 7,900 and 9,900 outbound seats per week during the summer season.
However, the precise delivery schedule of six A220 aircraft expected to arrive over the next ten months could lead to adjustments, Ex-Yu Aviation writes.
Several summer routes will resume earlier than usual this year. Flights from Zagreb to Berlin and Stockholm, which were introduced on 20th May last year, will be reinstated on 1st and 2nd April, respectively.
Meanwhile, services between Zagreb and Tirana will restart on 25th May, ahead of the previous schedule of 14th June.
Additionally, certain routes will see increased frequency during the peak summer travel season.
The Split–Istanbul route will resume on 6th May with five weekly rotations, up from three. Zagreb–Barcelona will increase from three to four weekly flights, while Split–Oslo and Split–Berlin will double from one to two weekly flights.
Furthermore, Dubrovnik–Prague will expand from one to two weekly services, and Dubrovnik–Zurich from four to five weekly rotations.
