Croatia Airlines launch new flights to Sofia & Podgorica

ZAGREB, 11 February 2020 – Croatia Airlines will launch new international flights from Zagreb to Sofia and Podgorica, the Croatian national carrier reported on Tuesday.
Flights from Zagreb to the Bulgarian capital Sofia will commence on 1 May and will operate three times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays until the end of October. A 76-seat Dash 8-Q400 aircraft will be used for the flights.
Flights from Zagreb to the capital of Montenegro will launch on 3 May and operate also three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. A Dash 8-Q400 aircraft will also be used for the route.
The Croatian national carrier also reported that it had 14 more aircraft in its fleet compared to last year’s tourist season, with 12 of its own and two being leased.
At the end of March, a 150-seat Airbus 319 aircraft will join the fleet on a long-term lease, and an additional 76-seat Dash 8-Q400 aircraft will join the fleet at the end of April to support any unplanned traffic disruptions. In addition, a short-term lease of one CRJ 1000 aircraft by Spanish air carrier Air Nostrum is planned between April and October.
Croatia Airlines will fly direct flights to 40 destinations in 26 countries during this year’s tourist season.
