The Croatian basketball team has blown a 10-point lead to lose their semi-final match against Germany in the Olympic qualifying tournament.
Croatia lost 86-76 in front of 3,500 fans at Split’s Spaladium Arena, meaning they miss out on a place at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Even a fantastic performance from NBA star Bojan Bogdanović, who scored 38 points, was not enough for Croatia today.
Croatia led 23:19 after the first quarter, 45:43 at the break and even enjoyed a 10-point lead at the start of the final quarter 68:58 but it would be a quarter to forget for the home side.
Germany fought back to 74:74 four minutes before the end and then took the lead and never looked back.
Germany will play Brazil in the final tomorrow to see who qualifies for Tokyo.
