Croatia Basks in Summer-esque October

It may not have been the best summer weather-wise on record for many parts of Croatia, with yearly average rainfall hit in some parts as early as September, but it looks like October is partly making up for it…
Sunny skies and temperatures hovering around the late 20’s°C have been the theme of October, with people taking advantage on the coast by enjoying time at the beach. With sea temperatures around 24°C and the air temperature just a few degrees warmer, it has made for some pleasant swimming conditions as one Korčula local told Croatia Week.
“Beautiful. Absolutely superb. This week has been perfect for swimming, not too many tourists around and the sea is still warm. We were lucky on Korčula this summer as we did not have much rain at all and it was nice. If this continues then I will probably be swimming until the end of October.”
That could well be possible, with the met office forecasting warm, sunny weather and above average temperatures for the next two weeks at least. The met office says that the record temperature recorded in October was over 30°C, and despite the forecast being good for the foreseeable future, the record looks safe.
