Croatia Beat Hosts Spain To Win Group At World Champs

Croatia has continued on its unbeaten streak at the World Handball Championship in Madrid. This time it was hosts Spain who suffered at the hands of the Croats with Slavko Goluza’s side winning 27:25 in Madrid today.
“I have to congratulate the guys in playing in a fair and correct way. I am proud of them,” said Goluza after the win, adding that he was only upset with injuries to two of his players, especially the one to Manuel Strlek which will see him miss the rest of the tournament
The win meant Croatia wins Group D and now face Belarus in the knock-out phase.
