Croatia becomes junior World Beach Handball Champions for first time

Croatia has become the junior World Beach Handball Champions for the first time.
Croatia won the gold medal at the IHF Men’s Youth Beach Handball World Cup which was held in Greece.
On top of that, Croatia’s Antonio Kranjčević was named the best goal keeper of the championships.
In the main phase of the World Cup, Croatia beat Iran 2:1, before beating Sweden 2:0 and Qatar 2:1 to reach the quarterfinals.
In the quarterfinals Croatia beat Ukraine 2:0, before beating France 2:1 in the semifinals. In the final, Croatia put on an impressive performance and were too good for Brazil, winning 2:1.
