Croatia claims No.1 spot in latest world tennis team rankings

ZAGREB, 22 September 2022 – Croatia is the number one ranked tennis team in the world, according to the latest rankings published by the International Tennis Federation this week.
Croatia, who have won the Davis Cup twice and played in four finals, are on top with 938.38 points.
Spain are in second place with 692.25 points, followed by France (628), USA (490.34) and Germany (485.09).
The latest rankings were published after the group stages of the Davis Cup by Rakuten were completed this weekend.

Croatia, who were missing Marin Čilić, booked their place in the quarterfinals after finishing second in Group B after wins against Argentina (3-0) and Sweden (2-1) and a 3-0 loss to Italy.

The final phase of the competition, from the quarterfinals to the final, will be held from November 21 to 27 in Malaga.
Croatia will meet Spain in the quarterfinals.
