Croatia has convincingly beaten Australia to start their campaign at the 2024 Water Polo World Championships in Doha on Monday.
Croatia led from start to finish and were far too good for their opponents, deservedly winning 13:8.
With this victory, Croatia have made another important and significant step towards the Olympic Games in Paris, as they have at least secured a spot in the round of sixteen, likely facing an easy opponent like China or Brazil.
Advancing to the quarterfinals practically ensures participation in Paris.
