Croatia drops four places in latest FIFA rankings

The Croatian national football team has dropped four places in the latest FIFA rankings which were released on Thursday.
Croatia is now ranked 10th in the world, down from 6th last month, with 1711.88 points after they suffered two defeats in Euro 2024 qualifiers.
Zlatko Dalić’s side lost to Turkey (1-0) and Wales (2-1) in October and now faces a challenge to qualify for next summer’s Euros in Germany.
Current world champions Argentina remains at the top with 1861.29 points, whilst the top five teams remains unchanged.
Ranked second is France (1853.11 points), followed by Brazil (1812.20), England (1807.88), and Belgium (1793.71).
Portugal (1739.83) has advanced two places to the sixth position. Netherlands (1739.26) remains seventh, Spain (1725.97) has moved up from tenth to eighth place, and Italy (1717.81) holds the ninth position followed by Croatia.
Croatia is in third place in Group D and face Latvia in Riga on November 18th and Armenia in Zagreb on November 21st in their last two matches.
If Wales win their final two matches against Armenia and Turkey, then Croatia will finish third and will have to qualify via the playoffs.
