Croatia earns €4.13 billion from foreign tourists in first half of 2024

Foreign tourist revenues in Croatia reached impressive new heights in 2024, according to the data from Croatian National Bank (HNB), the Ministry of Tourism said in a statement on Monday.
According to data from the Croatian National Bank (HNB), foreign tourist revenue in the second quarter of 2024 amounted to €3.3188 billion, marking an increase of 4.36% compared to the same period in 2023.
This represents an additional €138.6 million in earnings.
Overall, in the first half of 2024, foreign tourist revenue reached €4.1305 billion, reflecting a 7.5% growth compared to the same period in 2023, with an increase of €288.3 million in total.
Croatia’s Tourism and Sports Minister, Tonči Glavina, hailed the strong financial results as a sign of the success of recent tourism reforms, further positioning the country as a top year-round destination.
“We are pleased that the financial indicators confirm our position as a year-round destination. Following another record-breaking pre-season in terms of tourism results, we are now seeing record revenue from foreign tourists.
This demonstrates that the reforms we are implementing are already producing tangible results. As we enter a new era of tourism management, we anticipate even stronger growth in Croatian tourism,” said Minister Glavina.
