Exports from Croatia rose by 21% in January when compared to the same month in 2013…
Whilst exports rose significantly in the first month of this year, import growth declined slightly, improving the coverage of imports by exports to 61.3%, according to preliminary data released by the Central Bureau of Statistics this week. Exports to EU member states from Croatia increased by 22.4%, making up 63.3% of total Croatian exports.
The 21% rise meant that Croatia exports rose by close to 130 million EUR (998 million kuna) to 730 million EUR (5.6 Billion kuna). Imports, on the other hand, went up to 1.2 billion EUR (9.1 billion kuna). The coverage of imports by exports ratio improved from 53.9% in January 2013 to 61.3% in January 2014.
