Croatia finish year ranked 6th in the world in FIFA rankings

19 December 2019 – The final FIFA rankings of 2019 have been revealed on Thursday, with World Cup runners-up Croatia finishing the year ranked 6th in the world.
Belgium end 2019 as the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking’s ‘Team of the Year’ for the second successive time after a record-breaking year. World Cup winners France finish the year in 2nd place, just ahead of Brazil in third.
England end 2019 in 4th spot, ahead of Uruguay who rounded out the top five. Croatia are ahead of Portugal, Spain and Argentina in 6th spot with Colombia closing out the top ten.
The Ranking’s ‘Mover of the Year’ is Qatar who gained climbed to 38th in the world after gaining 138 points over the course of a year in which they won the AFC Asian Cup.
Algeria moved up 32 spots and Japan 22 places over the course of a year. The next FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published on 20 February 2020.
