German airline Lufthansa has announced that it has added around thirty new holiday destinations to its 2021 summer flight schedule from Germany.
Germany’s largest airline will include in its flight schedule about twenty new destinations from Frankfurt and 13 from Munich with a focus on the Caribbean, the Canary Islands and Greece.
Croatia features among the new added flights this summer with a Frankfurt – Rijeka service announced.
Other destinations on the Frankfurt flight programme include Paphos in Cyprus, Lamezia Terme in Italy, Djerba in Tunisia, Ponta Delgada in Portugal and Varna in Bulgaria.
From Munich, new flights will be operated to Jerez in Spain, Hurghada in Egypt and Greek destinations Chania, Mykonos, Kos, Kavalla, Zakynthos and Preveza.
Strict hygienic conditions
Lufthansa said that effective vaccines, comprehensive testing services and strict hygiene concepts of airports and airlines are good prerequisites for the resumption, this summer, of long-awaited vacations.
“Our leisure travel programme for summer 2021 is stronger than ever. We expect many countries to relax travel restrictions towards the summer as more and more people have been vaccinated. We know that demand will increase sharply as soon as travel restrictions are removed – and we are well equipped to meet this with our excellent range of products and offers,” Lufthansa board member Harry Hohmeister said.
