Croatia Named Number One International Destination In Brazil

A panel of the Brazilian Association of Tourism Journalists (ABRAJET) have named Croatia as the best international destination for tourists from Brazil at the annual “Os Dez Mais do Turismo” (The Top 10 Tourism) awards.
The awards are recognised as the largest and most important in Brazil, with a 28-year history. The panel voted on a selection of nominated destinations for the best international award with Croatia coming out on top. Previous winners of the award include Florida and the United Kingdom.
The official presentation ceremony will take place in Sao Paulo on 7 May and it is another important recognition of Croatia’s growing popularity in the world as a leading tourist destination. In the last few years there has been growing interest from Brazilian tourists in Croatia.
In 2011 the number of Brazilian tourists to Croatia grew by 56% from the previous year and in 2012 there were 44% more Brazilian tourists in Croatia than in 2011.
