Croatia’s manager Ante Čačić has cut his original 27-man squad he named for UEFA Euro 2016 in France down to the final 23 on Tuesday evening from the squad’s base in Rovinj…
Čačić has had his squad together for over a week and had a good chance to look at players vying for the final few spots during camps in Koprivnica and Rovinj, and the warm-up match against Moldova last Friday. The four players who failed to book seats on the plane for France and have been released from the squad are keeper Dominik Livaković, Domagoj Antolić, Duje Ćaleta-Car and Alen Halilović.

Goalkeepers: Danijel Subašić, Lovre Kalinić, Ivan Vargić
Defenders: Darijo Srna, Domagoj Vida, Gordon Schildenfeld, Tin Jedvaj, Vedran Ćorluka, Ivan Strinić, Šime Vrsaljko,
Midfielders: Luka Modrić, Ivan Rakitić, Mateo Kovačić, Milan Badelj, Marcelo Brozović, Ante Ćorić, Marko Rog,
Strikers: Marko Pjaca, Ivan Perišić, Mario Mandžukić, Andrej Kramarić, Nikola Kalinić, Duje Čop
Croatia’s last hit out before heading off to France will be against San Marino in Rijeka on Saturday. Croatia’s opening match at Euro 2016 will be against Turkey in 12 June. They then face the Czech Republic on 17 June, before meeting Spain on 21 June in their final group match.
