Croatia not in top 10 in latest FIFA world rankings

19 September 2024 – FIFA released the latest men’s world rankings on Thursday, with Argentina retaining its spot as the number one ranked football team in the world.
There were 184 international matches were played in September with FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers, Nations League, continental competitions and friendlies played all around the world.
Croatia lost to Portugal 2-1 in Lisbon, before beating Poland 1-0 in Osijek in their opening two UEFA Nations League matches.
This was not enough to see them move up any places with Zlatko Dalić’s side now 12th in the wold in the latest rankings.
Croatia has 1699.6 points, just below Uruguay who are 11th with 1701.34 points.
There were no changes in the top 10 this month. Argentina retained its place and the top, followed by France, Spain, England and Brazil.
Croatia will have a chance to improve on its ranking next when they take on Scotland on October 12 in Zagreb.
