New data recently released on the state of health care in Europe shows that the Russians are no longer the nation which consumes the largest quantity of spirits each year.
Moldova have taken over that honour, with the average Moldovan knocking back over 20 litres of liquor a year. In second place was Luxembourg and in third place Estonia. Croatia was near the top of the list with the Brits and Danes, with the average Croat drinking around 10 litres of hard liquor annually.
