Croatia reports 77 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

ZAGREB, 8 August 2020 – There were 77 new COVID-19 cases reported in Croatia in the last 24 hours, the national crisis management team said on Saturday.
Today’s new cases bring the total number of cases since the start to 5,543.
There are currently 569 active cases in Croatia and there have been 4,817 recoveries so far.
There were two new COVID-19-related fatalities reported in the last 24 hours. The current death toll stands at 157.
There are 120 people in hospital and 8 patients currently on a ventilator. In self-isolation, there are currently 1,962 people.
Since late February, Croatia has conducted 127,405 tests, including 995 in the last 24 hours.
Most of the active cases are in the capital Zagreb, Vukovar-Srijem, Split-Dalmatia and Osijek-Baranja counties.
