Croatia set to host World Working Dog Championship

The Croatian city of Vinkovci will host the FCI-IGP World Championship in Working Dog Sports from 23 to 29 September 2024.
This championship celebrates the extraordinary abilities of dogs and their handlers, showcasing the dedication required for training and competing at this level.
The World Championship is held annually in September and brings together the best working dogs and handlers from around the world.
The Croatian Kennel Club, as the country’s leading cynology organisation, has taken on the demanding task of organising this prestigious international competition and has selected Vinkovci as the host location.
Following the conclusion of Vinkovci’s largest traditional event, the Vinkovci Autumn Festival, the city on the Bosut River will welcome competitors from 38 countries who will compete for the title of best in three disciplines.
To mark the occasion, the Croatian Kennel Club, as the organiser, and the City of Vinkovci, as the main partner, have officially signed an agreement confirming Vinkovci as the host of the FCI-IGP World Championship.
Representatives of the Croatian Kennel Club expressed their satisfaction with the agreement and the fact that this major competition will be held in Vinkovci.
The FCI-IGP World Championship represents the pinnacle of working dog sports, and year after year, it gathers the very best from around the globe. This exciting competition features top teams from various countries and attracts the attention of many enthusiasts eager to witness high-level performances.
Tracking, Obedience, and Protection are the three disciplines of the FCI-IGP World Championship. The Obedience and Protection events will take place at the Cibalia Stadium from Wednesday, 25 September to Sunday, 29 September, with daily competitions in these two disciplines running from 7 am to 7 pm.
The Tracking competitions will be held in the surrounding areas of Vinkovci.
