Organisers of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship have announced that for the first time Croatia will be one of the venues this year for the world’s fastest motorsport series…
The picturesque town of Rovinj on the northern Adriatic coast will play host to the event on 12-13 April this year. The Red Bull Air Race will be held in 7 countries on 3 continents in 2014 attracting a massive global audience.
“We’re really excited to be going to Croatia for the first time in the history of the Red Bull Air Race. Croatia is full of fans and has, along with the entire Adriatic region, a long tradition in aviation, with many active sports pilots, high-tech aircraft and parts manufactures along with a lot of lovely small airport strips. They are blessed with the gorgeous Adriatic Sea,” Sergio Pla, head of aviation at Red Bull Air Race said.”
Besides Rovinj, the Red Bull Air Race World Championship will be held this year in Abu Dhabi, Malaysia, Poland, the UK, U.S and China. Spectators in Croatia will have a chance to see the world’s best race pilots racing in the fastest and most agile lightweight racing planes.
