Croatia will face Italy in an important EURO 2016 qualifier on 12 June in Zagreb, and to warm up for the match Niko Kovač’s side will take on UEFA newcomers Gibraltar in a friendly just a few days earlier…
Croatia will play Gibraltar in Varaždin at the Anđelko Herjavec stadium on 7 June, reports Tportal. The match will be just the 7th time the Croatian national team has played in Varaždin, which has seen them record four wins and two draws. The last time the national team played in Varaždin was in 2004 when a solitary goal from Joe Šimunić was enough for Croatia to beat Israel. Croatia should maintain their unbeaten record there come June. (photo Drago Sopta / HNS)
