Croatian tourism has received more international praise, this time at the prestigious 10th Travvy Awards, held at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention Centre in Florida.

Known as the “Tourism Oscars,” the Travvy Awards celebrate excellence in global tourism, and Croatia stood out among Mediterranean and European destinations.

Croatia took silver in the Best Destination – Mediterranean category and bronze for Best Cruise Destination – Europe.

The Croatian National Tourist Board (CNTB) also received the silver award for Best Tourism Board – Europe, with Greece and Ireland taking first and third in this category, respectively.

Kristjan Staničić, director of the CNTB, expressed pride in Croatia’s recognition on the world stage: “These awards show that Croatian tourism is highly regarded and competitive globally. The silver award for our tourism board is especially meaningful, highlighting the quality and dedication of our promotional activities both in Europe and worldwide. This recognition is a tribute to the hard work of all CNTB staff, and I am grateful for their commitment. I’m pleased that American tourists see Croatia as a safe and appealing destination.”

Over 500 guests attended the ceremony, with Leila Krešić-Jurić, CNTB’s New York representative, accepting the awards on behalf of Croatia. She noted the importance of this recognition in strengthening Croatia’s reputation in the US, a key long-distance market for Croatian tourism.
