A meeting between officials from the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) and the Polish Football Association (PZPN) took place at the HNS headquarters in Zagreb on Thursday.
HNS President Marijan Kustić and PZPN President Cezary Kulesza were joined by PZPN General Secretary Lukasz Wachowski and HNS Head of International Affairs Josip Tomaško to discuss key football topics.
The talks focused on current challenges in European football, the development of national teams and club football, and potential areas for future collaboration.
Kustić highlighted the strong relationship between the two federations, strengthened by recent encounters in the UEFA Nations League.
“Poland is a great footballing nation with a rich tradition and fantastic players. The PZPN is doing an excellent job in developing football at all levels. We are pleased to welcome our colleagues from Poland and exchange views on crucial topics for the future of European football,” Kustić said.
Kulesza praised Croatian football and the work of the HNS.
“For years, Croatia has been a prime example of how a small country can achieve remarkable success on the international stage. Learning from the HNS, especially in youth player development, is valuable for us, and we look forward to continued cooperation,” he stated.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of Croatian and Polish national team jerseys. Both presidents wished their teams success in upcoming challenges, hoping that both nations secure a place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
